How to Copy and Edit MOWL® Content with Spotify Playlists Follow
Many of our MOWL® sessions have Spotify playlists attached. If you'd like to use them, below are the step-by-step instructions on Favoriting, Copying and Editing these workouts for your use.
Filter option: You can click in the Filter option in the upper bar next to the search field. This will open up all the filter choices. When you click a choice, it’ll turn ‘green’ for chosen and then click out of the window to initiate the search. All pertaining rides will populate the page.
Camps: The other way to look for content is to use the Camps/Folder option. Simply open a Camp by clicking on it to see all content in that Camp.
To look at the attached playlist, click on the Spotify icon in the upper left and it will take you to the playlist in the Spotify website under your account.
If you like it and all the songs are available to you, simply favorite the workout in the MOWL® app. When you favorite a workout, the song stays attached to the workout and it lands in your 'Favorites' folder in your library.
If there is a song missing or the playlist has songs you want to replace, click on the Spotify playlist opening in the web and create a new playlist, ideally naming it the same as the ride name in MOWL. Click on the first song in the attached playlist, hold shift while you click on the last song and drag the whole playlist into the newly created one. Now open that playlist and make the needed changes. It's a good idea to note what song you're removing/replacing, as well as the surrounding songs, because you'll need to know which intervals need editing once you're back in the app.
Lastly, back in the app, click the 3 dots in the upper right to open the 'Favorite, Copy, Share' options (see above). Copy the workout, rename it, and you're sent to the Session Designer.
Import the new playlist from Spotify. Identify where the replaced song(s) are and make the needed changes. You can simply turn the whole song 1 color/intensity from beginning to end, and then let the music play, using the Split Interval feature to cut it into new intervals, if desired.
